Bus stop by =dothaithanh had created a brooding atmosphere with gorgeous linework and subtle monochromatic tones that really brings Bus stop to life. (

The colours are so amazing and I love how sharp the shading is. Often artists are too scared to bring in the dark tones and light highlights.
The clouds and smoke really give you that sense of how gigantic that building is. I like the little swirls, gives it character while looking realistic at the same time. :>
I think my alltime favourite part about this, is how you've divided the image into three parts- foreground, middleground, and background- and in what way you've done this. I've struggled with the idea of this for a very long time and never thought of using line darkness combined with faded colour. The shadows on the machine parts really add to that sense of depth as well.
I had to look really hard to find anything to actually critique about this and all I could think of is I think the sword line should overlap with the persons pants more, it looks odd being in front of his shoe but not so much his pants.
Also, the second leg from the right on the giant machine looks odd and like it's fallen into a crevice. Maybe bringing it's foreleg part forward a bit, leaning more, it wouldn't look so strange.
Very captivating image. Excellent concept, excellent technical execution, a combination you don't often see thesedays. Well done, and 'grats on the well deserved DD!
I love your messy style....everything just fits so perfectly.....and I can totally see how Howl's moving castle inspired you...allot of Hayao Miyazaki's movies are very inspirational.
